Dirge of Cerberus arc part 2
[Shelke turns away]
Shalua: I've been searching for you for so long.
[Shelke takes out her weapon, a pair of lightsabre-ish things with a tube connecting from one part of her wrist armor to another, and points one of the sabres at Shalua]
Shelke: Don't take another step.
Shalua: Shelke?
Shelke: It doesn't matter who I am or who you are. My current mission as a Deepground soldier is all that is relevant.
Shalua: Even though ten years have passed, you're still Shelke, my only sister!
Aki: [Shelke lowers and disables her weapon]
Shelke: Ten years. Has it been that long? The day they came to take me away, I was told I had potential. But those words were nothing but a precursor to a decade of suffering. They manipulated my mind until I was a shadow of my original self. The pain. The fear. For ten years I lived in a hell far deeper than any you could imagine. But look at me. I should be 19 this year. If I don't receive my daily dose of mako, this body wouldn't last a day. However, I don't consider myself the least bit unfortunate. Except that for so long I held on to a foolish thread of hope that someday, someone would come to save me.
Shalua: [sobbing, as she falls to her knees] I'm sorry, Shelke. I'm so sorry.
Shelke: It's time to put the past behind us. [turns on her weapon]
Reeve: Stop this!
Shelke: Reeve Tuesti.
Reeve: So you are Shalua's younger sister.
Shelke: Excellent. Now I can terminate both of you at once.
Reeve: Look at her. That's the price Shalua has paid fighting Shinra for the past ten years. She has given more than her arm, more than her eye. She has put her life on the line time and time again. All to find her lost sister. More than half her organs have been reconstructed. Not a day goes by when Shalua doesn't suffer the pain of a hundred souls. But still, she...
Shelke: Enough. I've... I've heard enough.
[She prepares her weapon; Vincent pulls out his gun]
Reeve: Stop!
[Reeve shoots at a sprinkler on the ceiling, which sets it off. Shelke moves forward to attack Shalua; Vincent runs to her side. Shelke stops her attack just in time]
Reeve: Vincent!
[The three of them leave the room as the sprinkler stops. Reeve reaches into his pocket]
Reeve: Use these.
[Vincent takes what was given to him and re-enters the room]
Shalua: Shelke? Shelke!
Reeve: Don't worry. The bullets will only sedate her. Let Vincent han
Aki: (TADA yay for scripts~ saves time)
Izzy: (hee)
Aki: -COMBAT SEQUENCE COMMENCE-
Aki: (however apparently they fight Shelke anyway)
Izzy: (yeah, then Azul)
Aki: (yeah)
Izzy: (but Vincent handles it fine by himself)
Aki: (want me to copy and paste that too? XD)
Izzy: (please do? XD)
Aki: [Vincent and Shelke square off. Boss fight vs. Shelke the Transparent. After the fight, she's unconscious from the sedation bullets]
Shalua: Shelke!
[Shalua runs to her side and cradles her in her arms. Reeve and Vincent walk away]
[Gameplay. Vincent backtracks, but shortly thereafter stops; he turns around, as Azul comes crashing down through the ceiling]
Azul: We meet again. Answer me this. Do you know why you even exist?
[Vincent stares at him. Azul smirks]
Azul: Just as I thought. Ignorant to your own destiny. Very well. I'll show you what you really are.
[Vincent shoots at him, but it does nothing; a shield appears in front of Azul]
Azul: You think that toy can penetrate my armor? Enough of the games, Vincent. Give me the Protomateria.
Reeve: Vincent! Over here!
Aki: [Vincent fires at Azul a few more times before running away]
Azul: You can't run!
[Vincent and Reeve are running away; Azul is hot on their trail]
Reeve: Vincent!
[Vincent looks at him and nods. They enter a large room; Vincent walks over to an extremely large gun/rocket launcher on the ground, picks it up & fires it at Azul. The explosion sends Vincent and Reeve backwards]
Vincent: You shouldn't leave those things lying around.
[Reeve laughs; Vincent looks at Azul, who's still standing, albeit shieldless, and now HE'S holding the gun/rocket launcher. He's also laughing menacingly]
Azul: Well done. You have broken through my barrier.
Vincent: This ends here. Leave him to me. [Reeve leaves]
Azul: Long has it been since I faced a worthy opponent!
Aki: [insert some nice images from the actual scene]
Aki: [Reeve and Vincent talking, and one of Azul with a really stoned look on his face]
Aki: [Boss fight vs. Azul the Cerulean. At the end of the fight, Vincent is standing in front of Azul, whose gun/rocket launcher is now on the ground]
Azul: You may think this is the end, but...
[He falls down]
[Vincent is walking through the WRO HQ's lobby. Reeve approaches him]
Aki: Reeve: Where are you...
Vincent: Nibelheim
Reeve: Wait. Shinra Manor? But that is where... Understood. However, be on your guard. We have reports of Deepground units deployed in that area. If you wish to enter the manor in one piece, I suggest you use the sewer system extending from the old mako reactor.
Vincent: Sewer? How appropriate is that?
[Vincent walks away]
Reeve: Now, as for me and my feline companion... It is time we found out what Deepground is truly up to.

Izzy: (Vincent goes to Nibelheim, Yuffie chases after him, fuming that he didn't feel like telling anyone where he was going XD Saves his ass from Rosso at the last minute)
Aki: (....Shelke is still hard to figure out who's doing her-- I'm shelke, but you're vincent XD...SHALUA)

Izzy: (what XD)

Cloud: And Vincent?
Reeve: He left. He wanted to get some more information, so...he headed for Nibelheim.
Cloud: ...!
Aki: (Sephiroth is refusing to react to the name. But whatever floats his boat)
Reeve: He went to find more information on Dr. Crescent's research.
Sephiroth: *sighs, seeing Shalua telling him to see what's on the computer*
Reeve: As for me, I'm going to look into Deepground's motives.
Aki: (She's like "THIS IS YOUR MOMMY. SHE WAS VERY SMART. SHE HAD A FANCLUB. JUST LIKE YOU." Not really.)
Izzy: (isn't Yuffie a bit pissed about getting left behind? XD)
Aki: (Yuffie....left already)
Izzy: (oh okay XD)
Aki: (tailgating XD)
Izzy: (lol kay)
Sora: ...Nibelheim?
Leon: *pauses* Your hometown here, right? *looks at Cloud*
Cloud: ...*nods* There's not...really anything...left of it.
Leon: *nods a little bit*
Sora: Well, of course there is! You remember it, right? *hands on his hips*
Cloud: Ah...well. I guess you could say that.
Tifa: *nods*
Sora: So, think of all the good times you had there. *grins* It'll keep it alive!
Aki: (Sora's. so. happy.)
Tifa: Ah...Sora. *decides not to be negative* You're right.
Izzy: (she was gonna be like "Well, there's a lot of bad memories associated with it too...")
Cloud: *interrupts* ShinRa had a place there where they kept lots of records, that's why--*stops and glances at Sephiroth, remembering that he's there*
Sora: I said good memories, not bad ones.
Cloud: ...I was just explaining.
Sora: *smiles* I know, but you gotta think positive, or you won't get too far.
Izzy: (Shalua should be alone in the room where Shelke is at some point. Not right away)
Aki: (k)
Izzy: (but when Shelke wakes up. So, we'll call it a day or so. Let’s have them discuss stuff first)
Shalua: So, you just look like her--- I was taken by surprise.
Sephiroth: I don't see why it should matter. It doesn't to me at least.
Reeve: Well, I have work to attend to...*nods to everyone and leaves*
Aki: (I had that scene planned since that picture XD)
Shalua: Well-- she had a son, but that's impossible anyway. *goes back to typing*
Sephiroth: *pauses, before going back over to Zack*
Sora: So...
Aki: (...ALL THE S NAMES)
Izzy: (XD)
Cloud: ...it seems like Yuffie went after him. They'll manage on their own. In the meanwhile...it's probably best we stay here...
Tifa: Shouldn't we contact Barret? I want to make sure Denzel and Marlene are all right.
Cloud: *nods*
Tifa: Can I borrow your phone? Mine got a bit banged up...
Cloud: *hands it to her*
Tifa: *goes to an empty corner of the room to make the call*
Aki: (cell or bar?)

Denzel: We're taking good care of the bar while you're all busy! So come home soon!
Marlene: ...fork it over Denzel, I wanna talk to him too! *pouts*

Cloud: Well, I hope you're--*glances at her, catching the anxious expression on her face* Something's come up. I'll call again later. Take good care of Marlene.
Denzel: O-okay!
Aki: (the bigger, more important things that he remembers would probably cause some sort of pausing/collapsing)
Izzy: (yeah)
Aki: (that's all I was thinking of)
Cloud: What's going--
Zack: *runs over to Sephiroth* Hey, what happened!
Shalua: ...! *looks up from her computer* Amnesiac, right?
Sephiroth: ...*holding his head*
Zack: Partial, but--yeah, why? *tries to help him sit up*
Shalua: ...You know a lot more-- but I was talking to him about Nibelheim and Lucrecia...He seemed a little taken aback when I mentioned her, but Nibelheim made him go quiet.
Cloud: You what--
Tifa: Cloud! This was bound to happen if we didn't say anything. Don't blame her.
Shalua: -! I'm sorry...I’m missing critical pieces of this situation..
Izzy: (asdlk;sadlksadl;asdlk; Cloud gets irrational when it concerns Sephiroth -_-)
Aki: (yeah)
Tifa: Don't be sorry, he's just--it's...really...complicated. *frowns*
Shalua: He just had this look on his face-- like he was trying to remember it, but he could seem to.
Tifa: It's...probably better if he doesn't.
Shalua: I'm sorry for bringing it up, then. *sighs*

Zack: I'll make sure he doesn't break anything. People I know seem to have a habit of doing that when they're upset. *goes after him*
Sephiroth: *still just outside the room, but walking around the corridor, looking around*
Izzy: (this makes me think of "Samantha, Who?" XD except it's "Sephiroth, Who?")

Izzy: (about the lady with amnesia who finds out she did all these bad things before)

Zack: isn't it your home?
Sephiroth: I....know everything that happened there. I...Don't like what happened there. Even if the things I did here were horrible-- I'd still like to know why people don't look at me.
Izzy: (WTF ZACK do not say "Curiosity killed the moomba")
Aki: (XDDD)
Zack: And what would that accomplish?
Sephiroth: Perhaps...some peace could come from it. Things left unresolved...never heal. And an open wound is only hindering.
Zack: ...*nods*
Aki: (LOL "DONT LET THE PAST BRING YOU DOWN" totally unintentional)
Zack: So, if things can't be resolved...what do you do then?
Sephiroth: Well, I guess I'll just see what some rest can do.
Zack: Fair enough.
Izzy: (UNINTENTIONAL PUN--anyway)

Zack: Just one thing, though...A lot of them--*jerks thumb back to the door*--are living with their own unresolved issues. I guess I am, too. But sometimes living can be atonement in itself. Everyone just does their best to give back to the world the things they've been given. Just saying, the little things we did here, helping out...they mean something. Even if they seem small.
Sephiroth: *nods a bit*
Zack: *shrugs and grins* You're probably tired of my preaching by now.
Sephiroth: I don't mind it. It's letting me stay grounded. Now, let's go give our three and a half cups to the rest of the recipe, I suppose.
Aki: (OW SEPHIROTH STOP THAT)
Zack: ahah! *slaps him on the shoulder and heads back*
Izzy: (XD I can see him making cookies.)
Aki: (me too XD But, I guess he appreciates Cloud, even though it's only one way XD)

Zack: *takes her hands and twirls her around* Maybe I should consider a job in therapy. Cooking therapy!
Aerith: *laughs, spinning* Why's that?
Sephiroth: I said let's give our three and a half cups; I wasn't implying that we bake away our issues!
Zack: Aww, but it smells good!

Zack: We can remedy that. *turns around and announces loudly* After this is all over, we're baking cookies, got that?

Shalua: It'll take a while for Vincent to get there and come back...You may all rest-- we also have a few spare rooms in the complex, so...If you need to sleep, I'll show you there.
Tifa: *nods* Rest might be a good idea...we've got a lot to catch up on.
Izzy: (We're assuming that they dropped off Cid ahead of time so he could check on Shera. both of them XD)
Aki: (yeah)
Izzy: (the woman and the airship lol. So he'd come back when Cid arrives in the game, which is later)
Aki: (yeah)
Sora: Well...C'mon guys let's explore! *drags Riku and Kairi off*
Aki: (.....saw that coming)
Tifa: Just don't leave the building, okay?

Izzy: (wouldn't Shalua be like "so why is that kid tagging along with you?” XD I think Reeve would have said something but he was busy/distracted)
Shalua: ....*too busy staring at how odd the group seems*
Aki: (....uh she....is a little shocked. Like, when they're fighting it's not weird, but when they step back and look at it...they really are XD)
Izzy: (...yep XD)
Tifa: Ah...is something wrong?
Shalua: ...Oh, nothing really, I'm just surprised that that kid is here. *laughs*
Tifa: Sora is...something, isn't he? *laughs too* He may seem carefree, but...he's been through a lot.
Shalua: *nods a bit* Well, he's happy, but he's got this really....serious look in his eyes.
Tifa: He had to start fighting at a young age...not unlike some of us.
Shalua: *nods, smiling* Well, it's good that he seems to think more about the positive aspect of everything, still. You had two more party members, but I'm guessing they had other business?
Aki: (Reno and Yazoo)
Izzy: (...lol)
Aki: (they came, remember? They needed a sniper)
Izzy: (and crap I forgot about them x.x sorry T_T)
Aki: (no, they went to Rufus XD)
Izzy: (uhh yeah, where did they go? XD oh right. Shalua would recognize Reno. She had a lot of run-ins with the Turks)
Aki: (Reno ran off tho, the second they got there)

Tifa: *nods* It's...been a while, everyone's got things to catch up on. We were away because of some...circumstances beyond our control. *sighs* It seems like strange things have been happening all over the place, lately...*glances at the others, then back to Shalua* did you notice anything...strange about the Deepground troops?
Aki: (would Shalua know about Hojo's presence?)
Izzy: (no, nobody does)

Leon: *made himself a sandwich somehow, before speaking up* Well, they're beings without hearts-- I assume you know what a Heartless is?
Izzy: (XD sandwich)

Izzy: (they could explain everything, actually...because Heartless began to appear right after Cloud and the others suddenly disappeared)
Shalua: Very vaguely. I did a little research...but...not much.
Leon: Well, Heartless are beings made of darkness who steal people's hearts.
Aki: (I'm sorry, I don’t have the attention span to explain XDD)
Izzy: (it's fine, Tifa was going to say more anyway)
Aki: (k)
Tifa: *nods* There were none around here...until recently. Within the past year, if I'm correct. A Heartless is created when someone gives in to the darkness in their own heart....A Nobody is an empty shell left behind by that heart. Still...such things weren't really supposed to exist here. It's hard to say exactly. Sora would know more about it, since it's, well, his calling. He's the one chosen to fight them. I'm sorry. This is probably all very confusing.
Shalua: Oh, no, it makes sense so far-- I'll ask him about it later. *smiles*
Tifa: ...speaking of which, he's got Riku and Kairi to keep him out of trouble, but...I'll go find them and tell them about the sleeping arrangements. *nods to everyone and leaves*
Izzy: (sdalkdsalas;ld Cloud has been pretending not to stare warily at Sephiroth the entire time. x.x)
Aki: (awww Sephiroth has been doing the same thing actually. He's really conscious of how he acts around Cloud)
Zack: *totally noticed both of them doing it, looks slightly annoyed*
Aki: (He doesn’t want to be threatening XDD)
Izzy: (ahahha)
